Share your card with people who are not on Tether

Email your current details to a whole circle. They can save it straight to their address book.

What this is

You changed your number. Most of the people who need to know are not on Tether. This sends them your current details in a form their phone already understands.

Before you start

Make sure your own profile is right — this sends what is on it.

Steps

  1. Open Circles and pick the circle you want to tell.
  2. Choose the option to email your current info to the circle.
  3. Review what is going out. Each person gets what their circle is allowed to see, not a single shared version.
  4. Send.

What to expect afterward

They get a clean card. They can save it straight to their address book in one tap, or join Tether and stay in sync with you from then on — so this is a one-off fix that occasionally converts into a permanent one.

Nothing is sent without you choosing to send it, and Tether never messages your contacts on your behalf.

Troubleshooting

Someone got fewer details than I expected. They got what their circle grants. If you want them to have more, grant it to that circle and send again.

I want to share with one person. Use the ordinary share sheet from your own profile instead — this flow is for whole circles.

How often can I do this? Three times a day on the free plan, ten on Tether+. The limit exists so this cannot become a nuisance to the people receiving it.

Stay reachable to the people who matter.
